APP DEVELOPMENT · SPEC-APP

What a mobile app costs, before anyone asks for your budget.

App pricing is quoted as a starting figure rather than a fixed one, because a ten-screen app and a fifty-screen app are genuinely different jobs. We publish the floor, quote the real number in writing once the scope is known, and you approve it before anything is built.

PLATFORM · THE FIRST DECISION

Android, iOS, or Both?

This decision moves the price more than any feature you will argue about later. It is worth ten minutes on where your customers actually are.

ANDROID

Android only

Choose it when: Your users are in India, Southeast Asia, Africa or Latin America, where Android is 80–95% of the market.

Cost: Cheapest to build and cheapest to publish — a Google Play developer account is a one-off $25.

Watch out: If a meaningful share of your customers carry iPhones, you are choosing to be invisible to them.

IOS

iOS only

Choose it when: Your users are in the US, UK, Australia, Japan or the Gulf, where iPhone share runs from half the market upwards — and skews toward higher spend.

Cost: Apple charges $99 per year for a developer account, and it must stay paid or your app is removed.

Watch out: App Store review is a real gate. Expect days, not minutes, and occasional rejections that need a resubmission.

CROSS

Both, from one codebase

Choose it when: You need presence on both stores and the app is mostly screens, forms, lists and payments rather than deep platform features.

Cost: Roughly 60–70% of building the same thing twice, and one codebase to maintain afterwards instead of two.

Watch out: Anything that leans hard on platform-specific hardware or OS integration is still better native.

STORES · THE PART NOBODY MENTIONS

Getting Published Is Its Own Job

Building the app is one thing. Getting it into a store is another, and it is where most first-time app owners are surprised. Three facts worth knowing before you commit:

  • The accounts cost money and belong to you. Google Play is $25 once. Apple is $99 every year — let it lapse and your app disappears from the store. Both should be registered in your name so you own the listing outright.
  • Apple actually reviews your app. A human checks it against Apple's guidelines. Rejections happen for missing privacy labels, unclear login flows, or features Apple considers duplicative. We fix and resubmit at no extra cost — but anyone promising guaranteed approval is not being straight with you.
  • Publishing is not marketing. Being in a store means people can find your app if they search its name. It does not mean anyone will. Store listing optimisation is a separate discipline and is not included in the build.
SCOPE · WHAT SITS OUTSIDE

Not in the Build Price

App store fees

Google $25 once, Apple $99 per year. Paid by you, to them, on accounts in your name.

Ongoing backend costs

Firebase is free at small scale and priced by usage after. Yours to own, so you are never locked to us.

App store optimisation

Screenshots, keyword research and listing copy that make the store page convert. A separate discipline.

Content and moderation

If your app carries user-generated content, moderating it is an operational job, not a build task.

Everything you pay for beyond our invoice goes to Google, Apple or your own cloud account, in your name. We take no margin on any of it, and none of it is a dependency on us.

YOUR RISK · MADE SMALL

Sending Money to People You Have Never Met

It is a reasonable thing to hesitate over, particularly across a border. We cannot make you trust us by asserting that you should, so here is what protects you instead — all of it checkable in the policies, not just claimed here.

Full refund before kickoff

Pay, talk to us, and change your mind — you get 100% back, no questions and no deduction, any time before the kickoff call. That is usually the first three days.

The price is fixed before work starts

Websites, SEO and hosting are fixed-price. App builds are quoted in writing and approved by you before anything is built. No hourly meter, no change-request surprises.

You own everything at handover

Source code, domain, hosting and every account are transferred to you. There is no exit fee and nothing you have to ask us to release.

Full detail in the refunds and cancellation policy and the terms of service. Both were written to be read, not to be survived.

FAQ · STRAIGHT ANSWERS

What People Ask Before Commissioning an App

Why is the app price a starting figure when your websites are fixed?+

Because a ten-screen app and a fifty-screen app are not the same job, and pretending otherwise means one of us absorbs the difference. A website has a predictable shape; an app depends on how many screens it has, what it talks to, how much works offline, and whether it needs a backend of its own. We publish the floor so you know the order of magnitude, then quote the real number in writing once the scope is known. You approve that figure before anything is built.

What actually moves the price?+

Four things, in roughly this order: the number of distinct screens, third-party integrations such as payments, maps or a booking system, how much backend logic is needed, and whether the app has to work offline. Offline support in particular is a bigger job than most people expect — it means the app carries its own copy of the data and reconciles it later.

Should I build Android, iOS, or both?+

Look at where your customers actually are. In India, Android is the overwhelming majority and an iOS build is often the second phase rather than the first. In the US, UK or Australia, iPhone users are around half the market and skew toward higher spend, so iOS-first is defensible. If you genuinely need both and the app is mostly screens and forms, one cross-platform codebase costs less than two native ones and is cheaper to maintain afterwards.

What do the app stores cost, and who pays?+

Google Play is a one-off $25 for a developer account. Apple is $99 per year, every year, and if it lapses your app is pulled from the store. Those go to Google and Apple, not to us, and the accounts should be registered in your name — not ours — so you own the listing. We will walk you through setting them up.

Do you submit the app to the stores for me?+

Yes, submission is included. Approval is not something anyone can guarantee — Apple reviews every build against its guidelines and can reject one for reasons ranging from a missing privacy label to a login flow it does not like. When that happens we fix and resubmit within the support window at no extra cost. Nobody who promises guaranteed approval is telling you the truth.

Who owns the app and the store listings?+

You do. Source code, repository, backend project, and both store accounts are in your name and handed over at launch. If you later move to another developer, they take over from what exists — there is nothing to unpick and no account you have to ask us to release.

How long does an app take?+

A straightforward Android or iOS build is typically six to ten weeks from kickoff; cross-platform runs slightly longer than a single native build but far shorter than two. Store review adds days at the end, and Apple more than Google. Your content, brand assets and any third-party account access are what set the actual start date.

Do I need a backend as well?+

If the app shows anything that changes — orders, bookings, listings, user accounts — then yes, and it is included. The packages use Firebase, which keeps costs low at small scale and gives you an admin dashboard without building one from scratch. If you already have an API, we build against it and the price usually drops.

Tell us what the app has to do.

Describe the screens and what they connect to, and you will get a written scope and a fixed number back — not a range, and not a request to book a call first.
